Established in 1987 as PT Indochlor Prakarsa Industries, producing Caustic Soda and EDC, in 1995 PT. Sulfindo Adiusaha ("Sulfindo") expanded into VCM business in joint venture with PT. Satomo Indovyl Monomer (“SIM”) and PVC business in joint venture with PT. Satomo Indovyl Polymer ("SIP").

Sodium Hydroxide or Natrium Hydroxide (NaOH) also generally known as Caustic Soda which common name derives from its chemical identity as a Sodium Hydrate.
Ethylene Dichloride (EDC) is produced by reaction of Chlorine Gas and Ethylene Gas called direct chlorination process.
Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) is produced by cracking EDC in PFR furnace. This colorless compound is an important industrial chemical chiefly used to produce PVC.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is a synthetic resin made from the polymerization of VCM in batch reactor.
Hydrochloric Acid or Muriatic Acid is colorless in an-organic chemical system with the formula HCl.
