Our History
1990-1995
- PT. Sulfindo Adiusaha was established in 1990 as a producer of Caustic Soda and EDC.
1996 - 1999
- PT Satomo Indovyl Monomer (SIM) established in 1995, acquired Sulfindo's EDC plant in 1996 and completed its VCM facility in 1998.
- PT Satomo Indovyl Polymer (SIP) established in 1995 and started production of PVC in 1998.
2000 - 2003
- In 2000, Increased for Caustic Soda capacity from 215,000 to 232,000 dmtpa and increase EDC capacity from 265,000 to 285,000 mtpa.
2004 - 2006
- In 2004, built new HCl synthesis unit, and increased capacity from 65,000 to 75,000 mtpa.
- In April 2005, SIM and SIP were merged into Sulfindo.
2007
- Increase for Caustic Soda capacity from 232,000 to 262,000 dmtpa and EDC capacity from 265,000 to 303,000 mtpa.
2008
- Increase Caustic Soda capacity from 262,000 to 274,000 dmtpa and EDC capacity from 303,000 to 314,000 mtpa.
- Increase Jetty capacity to 55,000 DWT from 35,000 DWT.
2009
- Increase PVC capacity from 70,000 mtpa to 90,000 mtpa.
2010
- Built HCl Absorber unit (Carbone Lorraine), increase HCl capacity from 75,000 mtpa to 125,000 mtpa.
- Increase PVC capacity from 90,000 mtpa to 95,000 mtpa.
2011 - 2013
- Increase salt unloading rate to 18,000 tpd from 15,000 tpd.
- Successful debottlenecking of production capacity; Caustic Soda to 320,000 dtpa, PVC to 110,000 mtpa and EDC to 380,000 mtpa.
2014
- Increase to increase VCM production capacity to 120,000 mtpa from 100,000 mtpa.
- Completion of power plant project. COD in December 2013 (Unit 1) and February 2014 (Unit 2).
